Case Study: Bristol Calendar Girls
Event coverage and promotion for a Bristol modelling competition
Calendar competitions are extremely popular at the moment and hundreds of models participate each year to try their hand at a professional modelling shoot.
Bristol Calendar Girls approached us in 2016 to produce a promotional video showcasing what happens on a casting day. The aim of this video was to show potential applicants what they can expect when attending a Calendar Girls casting day.
Filmed on location at PRYZM nightclub in Bristol, the event attracted 80 hopefuls who turned up to get their photographs taken by eight local photographers.
In August 2016 we came back for the Grand Final to see 70 girls strut their stuff on the catwalk for the final round of the competition.
We returned to Pryzm in May 2017 to film the 2017 casting day.
As the event organisers wanted to attract applicants using social media, we produced two versions of each video. The full-length videos were uploaded to Facebook and YouTube and 60-second summary versions were created for Instagram and Twitter.
